The Ministry of Defence Confirms That The British Army Soldier Who Was Killed In Afghanistan On Tuesday, Was Craftsman Anthony Lombardi of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers

He was killed instantly, when the Spartan vehicle he was driving was hit by an explosion, in the Lashkar Gar district of Helmand province

NI Army Dog Unit Memorial

A special memorial has been unveiled to commemorate the contribution to peace in Northern Ireland and the losses suffered by the Army Dog Unit that was based in the region. The Red Paw Memorial near the Armed Forces Memorial in Staffordshire has just been unveiled and is named after the badge worn by members of the Northern Ireland Army Dog Unit who lost six handlers and two dogs between 1973 when the unit was formed and 2007 when it was disbanded
