In the run up to National Heroes Day on Friday, David Cameron has  expressed his admiration for our troops and the charity Help For Heroes

Aldershot encouraged to paint the town Red and Blue



Aldershot Town F.C. take on Manchester United in one of the biggest games in the club's history this month and the military towns radio station is asking everyone to paint the town Red and Blue, the teams colours.






Garrison FM's Managing Director Mark Page said "whether it's your bedroom, guard room, living room, office, business or shop, we want you to deck it out in red and blue for The Shots. Our military population who come from all over the UK and indeed abroad,have an opportunity to give the thumbs up to their local team. I know the non-Manchester United supporting element amongst our soldiers will be cheering on The Shots!"






Garrison FM is broadcasting hourly messages across the town and the garrison on 102.5FM and on it's online broadcasts to encourage residents and those stationed locally to show their support.






Aldershot Town FC have also given their backing to the idea and will award two tickets to the best dressed business in town.



Aldershot Town take on Manchester United at the EBB stadium on the 25th October.
