The MOD has responded to articles in various national newspapers claiming that, due to budget cuts, training for Territorial Army soldiers is to dramatically decrease - The MOD says the TA has gone onto 'Campaign Footing', which means that all resources, financial and other, must be directed to activities that support the current operation. Consequently, some TA activities have been reduced or suspended for this year only
