The Defence Secretary John Hutton has announced that the UK's Armed Forces are to be rebalanced, to help counter the terrorist threats that face the UK. Mr Hutton said the UK needed to decide the best balance for its Armed Forces over the next decade

British Army soldiers in Afghanistan have been stressing to Garrison FM the importance of reconstruction projects in the country, running alongside the military and security operation. They say it lets local Afghan people experience the feel-good factor seeing their country's buildings and services being rebuilt and shows them that life will be better under the control of its own democratically elected government rather than the Taliban
Fly The Flag - For Armed Forces Day
The MOD is encouraging councils, businesses and homes across the country to show their support for Britain's Armed Forces by flying a special flag on Armed Forces Day
