The British Army Explains Why It Is Seeing A Significant Increase In Recruitment

It says it's not just down to the "credit crunch" effect - the people who passed out up until March 2009 were not recruited during that economic climate and recruiting figures were 500 up on the previous year

20 Armoured Brigade Says It's Proud To be The Last British Formation In Iraq

The troops currently serving in Iraq have been telling Garrison FM of how proud they are that they will be the last to serve in the current combat mission in the country - 20 Armoured Brigade is now the lead British formation in Iraq, since the handover of authority to US Forces at the end of last month

Top British comedian and star of Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights, Dave Spikey is currently on a UK tour and was recently entertaining troops in Germany - he told the British Army's radio service how grateful he is, for the work soldiers have been doing abroad on our behalf
