The Black Watch Makes A Significant Seizure Of Taliban Weapons In Afghanistan

The troops were dropped by helicopter onto a well-known Taliban supply route and netted Taliban anti-personnel mines, mortar and rocket-propelled grenades, which were destroyed in a controlled explosion by the Royal Engineers

The Army Introduces The New Appointment Of "Command Sergeant Major"

The Army has created a new appointment for WO1s, which will help Senior Officers keep in touch with the feelings and thoughts of Junior NCOs and Junior Officers - the personnel taking up the new appointments will be designated Command Sergeant Majors and will be allocated to 1 Div, 3 Div and Theatre Troops

Andrew Vince - Update

If you've been following Garrison FM's series of interviews with one of the British Army's newest recruits, you'll recall that the last time we caught up with 17 year old Andrew Vince from Dedham near Colchester, he was well into his training at the Army Foundation College at Harrogate and was endeavouring to make a final decision on which cap badge to join ... Speaking to Garrison FM's Liz Mullen this week, Andrew said he's finally decided to join the Royal Anglian Regiment and he's really looking forward to completing his training at Harrogate and moving on to the next phase of his career at Catterick
