The MoD has published details of how it will equip the Armed Forces over the next ten years and how it will be funded.
For the first time, the Government has set out a fully-funded Defence Plan totalling almost 160 Billion pounds. The affordability of this plan has been scrutinised by the National Audit Office and their analysis has also been published.
Nottingham has shown the strength of its support for Service personnel and their families with the signing of a Community Covenant.
Through a joint signing, both Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County Councils have pledged practical help for thir military communities. Nottinghamshire is currently home to around 2,000 Service personnel and their families.
