British-trained Afghan Forces have demonstrated their capabilities by succesfully leading a complex construction operation in Helmand.
With guidance from British Forces led by 1st Battalion the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment (1 Lancs) they have just built a bridge over the Nahr-e-Saraj canal in Helmand Province.
The route has been released for Help For Heroes first competitive cycle race.
The 100 mile sportive, nicknamed the "Dawn Raid" will start from Tedworth House in Tidworth in the early hours of June 2nd.It will travel through Wiltshire, Hampshire and Surrey retracing the tracks of the 2012 Olympic Road Race Heroes.
