Army Radio News - 6 Dec 2012

The Prime Minister has handed over nearly a million pounds to wounded troops.
The money comes from a 35 million pound pot of fines, imposed on financial institutions for the Libor rate-fix scandal. Just under a million has just been handed over to Fisher House who will use the cash to build houses for families so they can be close to loved ones in Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The charity Blind Veterans UK are asking you to do something a little different this year.
The organisation, who used to be known as St. Dunstan's, want you to remember a loved one online via their 'Star Of Remembrance' initiative.

The Army Sports Awards 2012 have taken place.
Many of this years' winners awarded also excelled at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Rowing and rugby were just 2 of the sports honoured.
