Army Radio News - 18 Dec 2012

The Defence Secretary has written a Christmas message to all service and civilian personnel.
Philip Hammond speaks of a busy and challenging year and thanks everyone for their hardwork over the past 12 months. He says " I am proud to lead such a capable team of men and women"

The MOD is planning to auction some of its radio spectrum.
In the first of its kind by a Government department the sale aims to give private operators the chance to buy more spectrum to support the introduction of  fourth-generation mobile services. The Ministry Of Defence aims to auction around 200 megahertz of its spectrum usage rights.

Britain's favourite truckers have released a single to raise money for Help For Heroes.
The parody of The Twelve Days of Christmas has been recorded by big hearted drivers who work for Eddie Stobart.
