The UK Hands Over Command In The South Of Iraq

UK forces in Iraq have handed over Command of the South of the country to The United States in a historical ceremony in Basra, following a change in coalition command structures announced by UK Defence Secretary John Hutton

The Black Watch - Heads To Afghanistan

Around 450 soldiers from The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, are deploying to Afghanistan this week, to begin a six month operational tour of duty in the South of the country

Veteran ID Cards

The Ministry of Defence has confirmed a report in the UK Media which stated that 'four million former Servicemen and women are to be given veterans' cards to ensure they get priority treatment for NHS healthcare and housing and discounts for services such as transport'
