The Ministry of Defence confirms that the 2 British Soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan on Sunday, were Corporal Graeme Stiff and Corporal Dean John of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers

The men had been conducting a vehicle move to the west of Garmsir in Helmand Province and were travelling in a Jackal patrol vehicle when it was struck by an explosive device and both soldiers were killed

Provision for post traumatic stress sufferers

The MOD has responded to an article in a UK National newspaper that quotes a spokesman for Combat Stress criticising the six community-based pilot projects that the MOD supports, as being inadequate to cover the entire UK. The MOD says the point of the pilots has been missed. They're two-year trials to discover the best practice for treating the small number of veterans who have mental health problems - to try and roll out a complete system without proper testing and evaluation the MOD says, would be irresponsible

Soldiers Test - The Army's New Ration Packs

18 soldiers from 7 Para RHA were chosen to sample dishes from the 10-man Operational Rat Packs, which include a wide variety of the goodies that will be on offer when the new packs are issued later this year
