The MOD Confirms The Deaths Of 2 British Soldiers In Helmand Province

They were members of the REME (Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers), serving with 1st battalion The Queen's Dragoon Guards ... and were killed by an enemy explosion during a vehicle patrol in the Garmsir district

The Soldier Who Was Killed In Afghanistan On Saturday, Is Named By The MOD

The MOD has confirmed that the British Army soldier who was killed in Afghanistan on Saturday, was Lance Corporal Christopher Harkett from 2nd Battalion The Royal Welsh. He died as a result of an explosion near Musa Qal'eh, when he was carrying out a foot patrol
