CGS Praises The Work Carried Out By British Soldiers In Iraq

As British Forces based in Iraq prepare to leave the country, Chief of the General Staff, General Sir Richard Dannatt, has told the UK media that British soldiers have performed magnificently during their time serving on operations

Defence Select Committee Reports On JPA

The MOD has responded to reports in a number of UK newspapers highlighting that the House of Commons Defence Select Committee has said, that the Joint Personnel Administration (JPA) programme, designed to simplify the military's pay and allowance system, has failed, as thousands of Service personnel have been either underpaid or overpaid.
The MOD admits that there were problems in the first year of operation. However, it says over the last 12 months, significant improvements have been made and further training has been given to Service personnel.
