The Ministry Of Defence Confirms That The British Soldier Who Was Killed In Afghanistan On Tuesday, Was Rifleman Cyrus Thatcher From 2nd Battalion The Rifles

He died as a result of an explosion whilst he was on a patrol near Gereshk in Helmand province
 
The UK Prepares For Armed Forces Day and Uniform To Work Day

The first ever Armed Forces Day takes place later this month, on the 27 of June to give the British nation the chance to show its support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community 
 
New Para Officers Wanted

The Parachute Regiment has announced that it's looking for new officers .....and although it doesn't mind where they come from, be it another capbadge, or from civvie street, there are nevertheless certain attributes a potential officer must possess to be considered for selection
