More than 350 soldiers from The Black Watch took part in the assault on one of the last Taliban strongholds. My Mummy Is A Soldier
A civilian employed at the British Army's Rhine Garrison in Germany has written a book to help the young children of Armed Forces personnel understand their mummy's overseas deployments. "My Mummy Is A Soldier" will also help out children in Afghanistan as cash from the book's sales will be donated to The Afghan Appeal Fund, a registered charity started in 2006 by friends and family of the British soldiers serving in Afghanistan
