The Ministry Of Defence Confirms That The Soldier Who Was Killed In Afghanistan On Friday Was Major Sean Birchall, from 1st Battalion Welsh Guards

Major Birchall was killed by an explosion whilst on patrol near Lashkar Gah, in Helmand Province - another soldier was injured in the incident

New Quad Bikes

The MOD has announced that 200 upgraded quad bikes have been ordered for use on the frontline in Afghanistan. The new all-terrain vehicles will boost the Armed Forces' ability to deliver vital combat supplies to troops on the ground
