Army Radio News - 23 Nov 2012

1 Mercian Regiment are now nearly two months into their deployment in Nad e Ali on Op' Herrick 17.
They've already seen progress being made by their colleagues from the Afghan Security Forces.

The MOD has announced it's investing 46 million pounds in acquiring fifty-one new Foxhound patrol vehicles for soldiers serving on the frontline in Afghanistan.
The news was broken by Defence Minister Philip Dunne MP, during a visit to General Dynamics: Force Protection's spares facility in Telford which supplies components for the Foxhound vehicle.

Tickets For Troops, the organisation that provides free tickets to members of the Armed Forces have passed a major milestone.
They've announced that in the 3 short years they have been operating, they have now handed out over 300,000 tickets for events and more than 115,000 military personnel have registered with them.
