Army Radio News - 22 Nov 2012

1 Lancs soldiers on Op' Herrick 17 based in Lashkar gah have made early progress.
Working alongside and developing the Afghan Security Forces, they've been able to introduce them into villages and integrate them into the local population.

The UK's largest regional brigade have signed up every local community in its area to the new Armed Forces Community Covenant.
15 (North East) Brigade joined Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council and its partners to sign the historic agreement which represents a population of over 7 million.

The Inter-Services Under 23s Rugby Championships are underway and there's another big match on the way.
Young guns from all 3 services are doing battle with each other and aiming to get a place in their senior sides too. The Army are the current champions, they take on the Navy at the Aldershot Military Stadium this Friday evening. Kick-Off is 7.30pm (23/11/12)
