Body Armour saves a British soldier's life in Afghanistan
The MOD has revealed that a British soldier serving in Afghanistan was recently saved from a Taliban bullet that hit his torso, by one of his standard issue body armour plates. The plate stopped the round completely, leaving the soldier with only a light bruise
3 Scots come home to a rapturous reception
Soldiers from 3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland have taken part in homecoming parades following their tour in Afghanistan. Over 2,000 people lined the streets of Inverness and parades also took place in Forfar, Kirkcaldy, Dundee and Perth
