Services mark the 30th anniversary of the start of the Falklands War
Veterans of the war have paid their respects at Britain's National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. A single candle was lit in the Arboretum's Millennium Chapel as part of the ceremony which will be left alight for 74 days; the length of the conflict

A housing and training centre for Service leavers at risk of homelessness has been officially opened at Catterick
The Beacon is a new thirty-one unit housing, training and support centre based near Catterick Garrison, providing specialist support to single homeless veterans from around the country.  It was officially opened by Foreign Secretary William Hague
