The incident took place whilst the soldier was taking part in Operation Panthers Claw near Gereshk in Helmand Province on Tuesday evening
The MOD Confirms That The British Soldier Who Died In A Helicopter Crash In Afghanistan On Monday, Was Captain Ben Babington-Browne from 2-2 Engineer Regiment
The incident took place whilst the aircraft was on takeoff in Zabul Province, at Forward Operating Base Mescall. Two Canadian soldiers were also killed in the crash
