The British Army Says Operation Panther's Claw Has Been A Significant Success

Launched at the end of June the operation, involving 3,000 troops, was launched with a large scale air assault. Troops then moved into the area between Lashkah Gah and Gereshk, on vehicles and on foot, to clear towns and villages and secure compounds for the locals to return and vote in the forthcoming elections
