The MOD Has Confirmed The Death Of A Soldier From 2nd Battalion The Rifles Who Died On Thursday In Afghanistan
The Soldier was killed as a result of an explosion that happened on a foot patrol near Gereshk in central Helmand.
Relatives of the soldier have been informed and have asked for a period of grace before any further details are released.
