The Army's Counter IED Specialists Prepare To Help Local Civilians, As Well As Coalition Forces, In Afghanistan

The British Army has been explaining to Garrison FM that amongst the additional troops about to be sent to theatre, are a number of explosives specialists who will help counter the threat of IEDs

As UK Forces have become more and more involved in postings to overseas theatres, the need for troops to learn foreign languages is as important as ever. The Defence School of Languages trains British soldiers who have been detailed to take part in courses due their up-coming overseas posting and students from Foreign Defence Forces learning English - C O, Wg Cdr Martin Exley has been speaking to Garrison FM's Josette Lesser
