The UK Thanks It's Armed Forces

Thousands of people across the world have paid tribute to the UK's military personnel, past, present and future, in the first ever Armed Forces Day - Hundreds of events took place in many different communities around the world from London to Afghanistan and Edinburgh to Gibraltar, with almost 200 events happening across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland

Army Troop Numbers

The MOD has responded to a letter published in the UK media that claims that the Army is cutting its manpower levels, while another asks why the MOD doesn't withdraw the 20,000 British troops in Germany and deploy them elsewhere. The MOD says it's pure speculation to suggest that the Army is cutting its manpower levels ... and although it is true that the Army has 21,000 soldiers in Germany, they play a full part in current operations. Germany is simply the home base for these units
