The Ministry Of Defence Names The 2 Soldiers Who Were Killed In Afghanistan on Thursday and Friday

Private Robert McLaren from The Black Watch was killed in Afghanistan on Thursday as a result of an explosion near Kandahar and on Friday Lieutenant Paul Mervis from 2 Rifles was killed as a result of an explosion near Sangin, in northern Helmand province

Physical Fitness For Operations

A British Army Brigade has been explaining to Garrison FM why it's introduced a new fitness initiative to prepare troops for their overseas deployments - Speaking to Garrison FM, Brigadier Craig Lawrence, Commanding Officer of 52 Infantry Brigade, said with the amount of kit soldiers have to carry with them on operations these days, peak physical fitness is a must
